Standard LEGO T fitting shown above for comparison

Why you need these:
Standard LEGO T fittings have an inside diameter (ID) of 1.4mm.  BBB T fittings and Unions have an ID of 2.3mm, but yet still work with standard LEGO tubing.  LEGO tubing has an ID of 2.0mm. Standard LEGO T fittings can restrict air flow and limit the performance of pneumatic circuits.   For best pneumatic performance air lines and fittings should supply enough air for the demand and not restrict the air flow.  This is especially critical for complex pneumatic circuits that have lots of cylinders.

Sample Compressor
  Uses two standard Pneumatic cylinders to make a two cylinder, double-acting compressor.  Each cycle provides four strokes worth of air.
